Macleod Cottage

Isle of Lewis

About

Macleod Cottage is an ideal getaway for small families or couples  on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Our minimum stay is three nights, rather than the usual seven, affording you more flexibility for your holiday.

The house is on a quiet road in the village of Ness, looking out over the Port of Ness and the lighthouse. There are sea views from every room.

The house sleeps up to four adults, plus any children under the age of two.

Ness itself has a lot of things to do. There are wonderful beaches and numerous walks. There's an excellent playpark, and a sports centre. There are handy shops and it is a good jumping off point to see sites such as The Callanish Stones and Carloway Broch on the West side of the island. Stornoway is 35 minutes away by car and there are regular buses from the end of the drive.

The house was my grandfather's and has been in the family for a long time. I fully renovated it recently and it is very comfortable, with underfloor heating (an air source heat pump) and a wood burning stove. The house is licensed as a short-term let with the local Council.

Do get in touch on our Google Business Page ( "Macleod Cottage Isle of Lewis") or on our Booking.com page with any questions relating to your visit to the island.

It's a great place to relax and we look forward to welcoming you.
